Sam Heveroh, CFP®, AIF®

Principal and Financial Adviser

When Sam Heveroh talks about retirement plans, he doesn’t sound like your typical financial advisor. He keeps things clear, straightforward, and practical because he knows that’s what business owners and employees need most. As a former athlete and now a Principal and Financial Advisor at Stonebridge Financial Group, Sam brings a competitive drive and a steady focus on helping clients make confident decisions.

What makes Sam stand out is his ability to take complex financial topics and break them down into plain language. Business owners often mention how approachable and responsive he is, and how he makes technical concepts easy to understand. For Sam, it’s not just about numbers on a page; it’s about giving clients the tools and confidence to build a secure future for themselves and their teams.

Education & Background

Sam graduated from Truman State University with a degree in Business Administration and a concentration in Finance. From there, he went on to complete advanced coursework through Kaplan’s College for Financial Planning, further sharpening his skills in wealth management.

He started his career at Wells Fargo Advisors in St. Louis in 2019, where he quickly learned how to communicate under pressure. Handling dozens of high-stakes client calls taught him how to stay calm, get to the point, and explain tough situations clearly. He later joined Mutual of Omaha Advisors, where he gained hands-on experience with investments, insurance, and financial planning. These roles gave him a strong foundation for the advisory work he now leads at Stonebridge.

Designations & Memberships

Sam holds two of the industry’s most respected designations. The CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® (CFP®) designation is the industry’s gold standard in financial planning; a comprehensive examination covering everything from tax strategy to estate planning.

His Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) designation adds another layer of expertise, specifically focused on helping business owners navigate their fiduciary responsibilities with confidence. Whether it’s ensuring compliance or optimizing investment options, Sam’s AIF® training means he’s always acting in his clients’ best interests. These designations aren’t just letters after his name; they’re proof that Sam’s advice is backed by deep knowledge and a commitment to the highest ethical standards.

Awards & Accomplishments

In 2025, Sam was recognized as a Five Star Wealth Manager, an award honoring advisors who excel in client service and demonstrate strong professional credentials. For Sam, this recognition serves as a milestone in his career and a reflection of the dedication he brings to each client relationship. He sees awards as secondary to the trust he earns from clients, but is proud of the validation this honor brings to his work.

Community Involvement

At the heart of Sam’s life is his faith. A devout Catholic, he and his family are active members of their local parish in Oakville, where they attend weekly Mass and contribute to church activities. For Sam, faith isn’t just a personal compass. It’s a guiding force in how he approaches his work and relationships. His favorite Bible verse, Luke 1:37 “For nothing will be impossible with God,” is a daily reminder to tackle challenges with optimism and trust.

Although Sam is not formally involved with local boards or nonprofits right now, he believes in giving back in meaningful ways. He sees community engagement as a responsibility as much as a joy and hopes to expand his contributions in the future. Whether through his parish or through local causes, he is motivated to serve others with the same dedication he gives to his clients.

Personal Life

Born and raised in Oakville, a suburb of St. Louis, Sam has always stayed close to his roots. Today, he lives there with his wife, three children, and their chocolate lab. He finds motivation and balance in providing for his family, building his practice, and living with gratitude. Family life is busy and joyful, full of swimming, walks, trips to the zoo, and plenty of time cheering for their favorite sports teams, including the St. Louis Cardinals, Blues, and Battlehawks. Sam is also a devoted Philadelphia Eagles fan, which adds lively debate to game days.

Outside of family time, Sam loves fishing, hunting, golfing, sand volleyball, along with anything that gets him outdoors. The family also enjoys traveling, especially to the Caribbean and Gulf Shores, Alabama, where they can relax and make memories together. With faith as his foundation and a playbook full of expertise, Sam Heveroh is the advisor you want in your corner, ready to guide you to victory in the game of financial planning.

Why We're Different

Stonebridge Financial Group is:

  • Independent of all service providers.
  • Able to deal with virtually any service provider available to your company.
  • Capable of servicing your current retirement plan programs if you want to retain your product provider but replace your current broker with our services.

Stonebridge Financial Group works exclusively for our clients. Many of our clients find they can upgrade the performance of their plan, without the trouble of changing providers. They simply add our services to improve investments, assist employees and manage fiduciary risks.

Others find they have outgrown their current provider. When that happens, we will conduct a comprehensive market search using specific technology, and then apply our decades of experience to assure the right fit for you. After narrowing the field, we coordinate presentations from the best available. Having us on your side makes the search process much easier, as we make sure you get the straight story about the limitations of potential providers as well as their strengths.

You can engage STONEBRIDGE FINANCIAL GROUP in three ways:

  • Pay us a fee

As investment advisory representatives, we can work on a fee for service basis.

  • Replace your current broker

Often the compensation already embedded in your 401(k) investments is sufficient to pay for our services with no increase in costs to you. Some plan sponsors are not aware that commissions are being paid to a broker or agent because they are receiving little to no service in return.

  • Change 401(k) providers

And appoint us as your representative in the process.
